Paul had just finished his bachelor’s degree in economics and was eager to explore the economic systems of the world. His girlfriend Willow couldn’t express her excitement at the idea, which is probably due to the fact that she had none. However, when Paul told her that he wanted to contribute to various economic systems by visiting these places at prime times, Willow’s interest actually began to perk up. She realized that she didn’t need to spend her days considering economic factors of the places she visited but if this interest increased Paul’s desire to travel, well, she would be all for it.
The first place Paul mentioned that he would like to contribute to was the southern region of Portugal known as Algarve. He said he would like to make reservations for an Algarve hotel for a week’s stay in July, which was the prime tourist season and that tourism actually accounted for the bulk of that region’s summer economy. After managing to get through all of the economy blah blah Willow, who imagined tremendous shopping opportunities, thought the trip sounded fabulous.
And so the happy, though very unlike-minded, couple headed off to Algarve Portugal. They both fell instantly in love with the geography and toured some of the great fruit groves. Willow was relieved that not a single mention of finances occurred during their walk, which was unexpectedly romantic. Afterward they enjoyed a great dinner of fresh seafood and then headed to local nightclub for some dancing and a couple of cocktails. The next day they spent most of their time on the beach and it was definitely one of the most gloriously peaceful afternoons they had ever spend. Laying there on their towels in the beautiful sun they both had the feeling that the world could spin by as they lay there indefinitely. Interestingly, but the end of the trip Paul was less concerned with the economies of places, he just had a major case of the travel bug and wanted to do so as often as he could. Meanwhile, Willow was the one who developed a concern for economies. She was concerned about her own and her ability to travel with him and do all the shopping she dreamed of.
