Life In Car

The Automotive Blog

I raised my head up to the sky and the buildings block the sun; I walked as fast as I could and felt it was too slow; I was looking for a place to sit and the only place is on the sidewalk; I took a look at the streets and all I saw was a sea of yellow taxis. Yes, I’m definitely right in the middle of New York City.

My plan to visit New York City began in 2008, I wanted to be in the most exciting city on earth, an now my plan has come to fruition. I’m staying six nights at one of the top hotels in New York, but my plane arrived during the night, one of the six nights. So my first night in New York was a short glance at Times Square, then up to my hotel room for a much needed sleep.

I awoke at 6:30am, there was no time to rest. I was so excited to be in New York and begin my quest. I promised myself that I would do something new this year, so my quest is for novelty. When I stepped out of my hotel, the city awaited me. My first meal was at a street vendor selling hot dogs. I’ve never thought I’d enjoy a hot dog so early in the morning, but it was so good, I ordered a second one.  I was too early to really do anything, so I spent most of my morning walking around and taking photos. I’ve taken many photos where ever I’m at, but for some reason, taking photos here in New York City was a complete joy. I really loved framing the spectacular beauty of the city; the nature, the people; the wildlife, and me standing in the middle of it; a city that never sleeps.

I felt like I was in a completely different world. If you’ve never been here before, then these words we fail to describe the vibrancy flowing up and down the streets and up and down the skyscrapers. It’s catching and only add to my sense of adventure. I can barely contain myself, no wonder the pace is fast and everybody is in a hurry, there’s just too much to do here.
