By now it is now secret that Academy Award winning Actress Sandra Bullock has left her husband Jesse James due to his apparent affair with a tattoo model. This personal tragedy must have come as a shock to Bullock and it has certainly stunned most of her fans who felt that she and James had a solid and loving relationship, one that is typically perceived as being rare in Hollywood and the film industry. Meanwhile, many of the people who visit Los Angeles are well aware of the popular associations of many celebrities’ lives and while they may seek to support and express concern for this transition and circumstance in Bullock’s life, what she might likely need most right now is a respect for her privacy.
Many of the area hotels have restaurants and lounges where guests can enjoy a meal or drink and interact with locals who also happen to be there. There is a good chance that stories about the industry are likely to come up at a near by table. Los Angeles is well known as one of the primary celebrity spotting locations and many of the people who visit the city have a least one encounter with a star while they are there. This is part of the attraction of this great city, though it also means that the celebrities who live there have almost no social privacy. Of course this is a sacrifice that comes along with celebrity and almost everyone who is famous eagerly makes that sacrifice to achieve fame, but many people also suffer from a lack of privacy once it occurs.
Bullock and Jesse James have led a relatively quiet and private existence together and this is one of the most personally vulnerable experiences a person can encounter. Meanwhile many people, who seemingly have nothing to do with the couple, have already put in their opinions about what Bullock and James should do. There have been people who express advice to Bullock indicating she should stay with her husband and fight to keep the marriage intact. At a time like this unsolicited advice, regardless of the intention behind it, can be damaging and frustrating. Hopefully Bullock has the support of close friends and family that will help her through this difficult time and allow her the freedom to do what she needs to do.
